Entry 1 - Sinuosity
Runner-up in the Abstract / Impressionist category
Artist: The Prince of Parsimony

Artist's Statement: "My work explores the dissonance between Pre-raphaelite tenets and psuedogeographic interactive media. With influences as diverse as Machiavelli and Rebecca Moore, new synergies are generated from both orderly and random textures. As intermittent phenomena become clarified through emergent and diverse practice, the viewer is left with an epitaph for the limits of our future."

Entry 4 - Trendy Water
Artist: GD

Artist's Statement: "My work explores surface water changes caused by natural and man-made processes, such as climate changes happening on Tibetan Plateau, migration of Ganges-Brahmaputra River, land reclamation along the Chinese coasts, and uncountable number of new reservoirs constructed during the last last 30 years in the East Asia.

With influences of abstract impressionism, new tensions are crafted from both orderly and random textures. As temporal replicas become frozen through boundaried and academic practice, the viewer is left with a hymn to the possibilities of our future."

Entry 9 - Delta Blues
Winner in the Best Overall category
Artist: Christina

Artist's Statement: "I strive to explore new tensions that are synthesised from both mundane and transcendant textures, and grasped by the essential unreality of movement. What starts out as triumph soon becomes debased into a cacophony of distress, leaving only a sense of dread and the chance of a new order. Wavering phenomena become distorted through frantic and personal practice, and we are left with a testament to the edges of our existence as well as this haiku: heat colorful as movement who does feel color and water inside"
